A hull done properly

Hull cleaning and antifouling

Cleaning a hull sounds like the simplest job in the yard. In reality, it’s the job that decides how well your boat will glide, how much fuel she’ll burn and how quickly she’ll get dirty again. That’s why we treat it as a serious intervention, not a seasonal routine.

After the haul-out we wash the hull, sand it and brush on the new antifouling — not roller it on, as most yards do.

It sounds like fussiness, but it makes a real difference: a smooth surface, without the orange-peel texture a roller leaves behind, glides faster, burns less fuel and is less prone to algae and barnacles. And on top of that we only use top-quality antifouling, so we don’t waste the work underneath.
