Thirty years on the sea, and clients who become friends along the way
The yard is in Palmariggi, province of Lecce, a few minutes from Otranto. From here we look after our clients’ boats — many of whom, over the years, have become friends as well.
Before the yard in Palmariggi there were already 30 years in the trade. The owners worked on boats, in various roles within the marine industry, long before opening here in 2020: the yard today is where all of that finally lives under one roof, under the name Nautica Servizi Terra d'Otranto.
On 3,000 sqm of CCTV-monitored outdoor yard, boats of every size pass through: RIBs, yachts, older boats brought back to life after years in the sun. Winter storage, full refits, electrical systems, hull, teak — it all happens here, with no shortcuts on materials or partners.
The yard is also a place to stop and talk. Often someone dropping off or picking up a boat ends up staying for an extra half hour: a trip gone sideways gets retold, instruments and routes are compared. That’s how clients become friends — and friends, usually, come back.
